My BG3 characters reside deep within my soul.

At some point, I will make a full shrine about BG3. But for now, I want to talk about the tavs that I've made. Cope and seethe if you want, I don't care.

Warning for BG3 spoilers...although you really should expect that, hey?

Tae'Sko, my beloved.

Tae'Sko was my first ever DnD character, isn't that crazy? It only felt right when I downloaded BG3 that I would make him. He was made without any mods - I always like to do a fresh run of any game I play. I'm unashamed to admit that he didn't experience too much of the world...which is a little crazy given I spent about 70 hours with him. No harpies, no Ethel, I don't think he even touched the mountain pass, he didn't bother with the House of Hope OR House of Grief...poor poor Karlach had to become a little tentacled thanks to Tae. Before you ask how to pronounce it: 'Tesco'. Yep, the shop. During that first fated irl campaign, he was indeed referred to as Big Tae'Sko many times.

Isn't he wonderful! So pretty! So lovely! His design has been this since I first made him, only a few minor changes. He ended up with (non-ascended) Astarion and they lived out their days very happy together presumably...bitching away definitely.

Andromeda, my darling.

Andromeda was my first ever dark urge...and the Only other character I've actually managed to complete the game with that isn't Tae. I do have like 200 hours in other characters that haven't made it. Oops. Anyway! She started out pretty morally gray, would lean into her urge more often than not, but was overall trying to not be the worst ever. She sided with the grove solely because she's a wood elf and thought that made more sense than some goblins. She had a bit of a blip in the mountain pass (and by 'blip', I mean she slaughtered the entire Githyanki Creche with reckless abandon. We can't all be perfect!) but by the time she reached Baldur's Gate, she was on her best behaviour.

Isn't she beautiful! I wish I had more pictures of her :/
I did the least subtle thing ever with her character design - as she resisted the Urge more and more, her hair got lighter, and the tips of her horns did too. By the time she reached the Gate, she was in fancier clothing, and when she bested her father, she changed her clothes to white. Again, NOT subtle at all...but I thought it was fun! I miss her.
She, as you can tell, was made lovingly with Many many mods. She also romanced Astarion...unfortunately. Looking back, I would've liked to put her with Gale, but oh well. They made enough sense for each other - I don't think she would've seen herself as good enough for Gale in the beginning, and by the end she'd settled for Astarion. Perhaps if she ever broke up with him or went to therapy, she'd take a visit to Waterdeep...who knows.

Elaris, my favourite freak!

Okay, look, he gets a few more pictures because he's just so pretty. I mean, look at him. Making him a fucked up, evil, sick and twisted DOGBOY was a stroke of pure genius. My brain is so incredible sometimes, it's almost frightening. Elaris was horrible. SO horrible. He killed so many people in cold blood. When he woke up after escaping the ship, he pretended to be a chill dude for approximately Until He Met Minthara...and then promptly became horrible again.
I never finished his run, but he was romancing Shadowheart and had big plans to make her Worse. He didn't even want to try fixing anyone. I respect it.

Spent most of this playthrough drooling instead of actually doing anything productive I'll be so honest. I'd let him Make Me Worse. Anyway. I wish I could've finished him, but a game update broke some mods and also life got in the way, so I never did. He is the only BG3 tav that I've drawn, though! I am rather fond of him and would have let him take over the whole world when I reached the Gate...maybe it's a good thing he never did.

Alice, my girl in her wonderland.

Alice, as you can probably tell from the title, was mildly inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Except...well...no she wasn't it was hit action-adventure game Alice: Madness Returns.
I used to watch my sister play Alice: Madness after school, and those memories are near and dear to my heart. This Alice, unfortunately, did not have those same lovely experiences as me growing up, and she is All The Worse for it.

Do you like her dress? I think it suits her well. I kept giggling while playing her, imagining the bells jingling. I like to think she's like when you put a cat in a collar with a bell and they learn how to keep quiet unless they're moving quickly...generally stealthy until she's in battle, and then there's just an insane little jingling noise you can hear over the sounds of fighting. Funny concept. Alice was always in her own world...her wonderland. And yes, she was mad. As she learned more about her past self, she just got worse - it's fair to say perhaps her Madness...Returned....(sorry)

Valentine, my valentine.

Valentine is yet another durge...and I'm a little sad to say I never got very far with them, as the mod I was using became obsolete. They were a fallen Aasimar, as you can probably tell. Their father made them this way as a bit of a sick joke - Orin was always very jealous. Funnily enough, they look quite similar to my partner, although I made them long before I met him. It's a little uncanny - everyone I've shown has asked me whether he inspired Val, and every time I've said "no, but it is weird, isn't it?"

Although I did not finish their run, I know what would have happened. They would have refused to fall under the influence of their father, but kept their twisted nature. They wouldn't have let their lover (again, I know) Astarion ascend, knowing he wouldn't be under their control if they did. They would have spent their life wreaking havoc across Faerûn with Astarion. An average lifespan of an Aasimar is 150 years - they would have spent all of this with him. He would've watched as they had to slow down, as the ache started seeping into their bones after particularly bloody or elaborate murders. One day, both Val and Astarion would know that they'd killed for the last time. Astarion would've cared for Val until the end, keeping them fed, warm, as healthy as possible. He would've preened their wings, ignoring their weak snarling and protests. He would've sketched them a thousand times, trying to capture the exact glint in their eye (the want to kill, and kill, and keep killing). And, well, he would've polished the blood off their necklace painstakingly, before placing it next to them in their coffin.
For a horrible murderous beast, I am so very fond of Valentine. They could be my Valentine if they wanted, but I think they'd probably just kill me actually. Oh well.

And that's it! My main BG3 tavs. I may return and make a little graveyard of all the other tavs I've made and never escaped Act 1 with. There's quite a few, I fear. We shall see!
